Job Description
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS provides services to communities affected by natural and manmade disasters through the provision of emergency responses, ambulance and first aid, family reunification, essential drugs, water and sanitation, and other humanitarian services. ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. Currently the ERCS has a structure consisting of 12 Regional Offices, 34 Zonal Branches and 131 District/Woreda Branches, 599 Woreda Red Cross Committee and 5871 Kebele Red Cross committees.
ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs relating to food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building interventions, with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. ERCS works in partnership with the Ethiopian Government, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partnering National Societies, members, volunteers and the communities we serve.
Assist in reception and hospitality service;
Serves as a messenger for the staffs of Ethiopian Health Resilience Activity and other work units directly accountable to PHEM office;
Assists in filing and documentation of the Ethiopian Health Resilience Activity office;
Greet visitors in a professional manner and perform receptionist duties when needed;
Provide visitors with information and direct them accordingly;
Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate party;
Photocopies, scans, and files appropriate documents
Performs clerical duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Takes and distribute accurate messages to the different offices.
Setting up of boardrooms and conference room and preparing for meetings
Responsible for making tea and coffee and delivering it to the participants during meeting time as deemed necessary.
Arrange board rooms for meeting, serving tea and coffee for board meetings;
Arrange necessary reception orders for meetings including facilitate lunch and other coattail receptions;
Assist in reproducing and distributing meeting documents;
Responsible for collecting all the mugs, tea cups etc., washing them up and putting them away.
keep the working area/kitchen clean and tidy
keeps stock of the tea, coffee, sugar, etc. and make regular report the level to the executive assistant
Gives assistance in coordinating and organizing meetings

Reporting to: - Senior PHEM Advisor
Terms of employment:-Contract for one year
Qualification Requirements:
TVET Level I / 12th /10th grade completed
and 2 / 4 years work experience.
