Job Description
The Role Summary:
Under the direction of the WH Operations Manager the incumbent Lead, coach, and control WH operation staff and drivers towards the company goal. He/she is expected to maximize customer satisfaction and warehouse profitability. He/she directs, coordinates, and controls the movement of finished products as well as empty crates and other containers, he/she is also responsible for the proper arrangement and safety of company property in the assigned depot.
Result Areas and Responsibilities:
Warehouse Management
Work with Warehouse coordinators to draw weekly and monthly storage and delivery schedules.
Assess storage area against inventory policy designated space and achievable capacity.
Review and corrective action conducted where storage space shortages are predicted.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Customer Satisfaction
Develop strong relationships with sales and agent crew.
Set warehouse working hours jointly with the sales team and implement them.
Manage daily warehouse operations with utmost flexibility.
Continuously review WH ways of working to maximize customer satisfaction.
Effective utilization of the system
100% utilization of SAP
Ensure daily stock movement is properly recorded in the system.
Perform daily reconciliation of system and actual.
Whenever the system is down ensure daily manual transactions are forwarded to head office and captured.
Ensure 0 stock variance during monthly, semi-annual, and year-end counts.
Report
Weekly POS stock movement report
Maintain up-to-date and reconciled records of stored materials.
Provide daily sales and stock movement report.
Weekly breakage report
Safety, health, and Environment (SHE)
Compliance with the company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Report health and safety hazards/near misses that might cause a risk.
Participate in an incident investigation in his/her area of function.
The Person:
This role is positioned at the professional level and requires someone who is an experienced store management practitioner. This person will have the opportunity to develop their career further within a very progressive, dynamic, and exciting work atmosphere.
BA Degree or advanced Diploma in a related field (Property/Supplies/Logistics Management) and equivalent work experience, ideally 3 plus years of relevant experience, plus people management or supervision experience with good communication and expression ability.
