Job Description
Accountants review and analyse financial statements, budgets, financial reports, and business plans in order to check for irregularities resulting from error or fraud, and provide their clients with financial advice in matters such as financial forecasting and risk analysis. They may audit financial data, resolve insolvency cases, prepare tax returns and provide other tax-related advice in reference to current legislation.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Assist with other accounting projects
Education, Skills and Qualifications
BA in accounting and finance from a recognized university 1 year experience
Good with numbers and figures
Excellent written and verbal communication & strong interpersonal skills
Experience in accounting software package, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other information processing software.
Excellent organizing ability
Great attention to detail
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Fluency in written and spoken English and Amharic and the language spoken in the area.
