Job Description
The Business Development Intern will primarily be working under the direct supervision of the Business Development Team and learning about Action Against Hunger's Business Development Initiatives. The Business Development intern will be situated in Addis Ababa and will assist the Business Development team with all of their endeavors.
The Business Development Intern role’s purpose, and engagements are:
Purpose: The Business Development Intern position is part of the wider Action Against Hunger internship program policy and implementation exercise that promotes and offers recent graduates a meaningful work experience that would enhance their knowledge, skills, attitudes and employability. By so doing, Action Against Hunger - Ethiopia also gains from the introduction of fresh talent and new perspectives to a specific sector projects or team.
Engagement: The intern will engage with Business Development technical teams based in capital
Essential Duties
The intern is expected to execute and delivery the following activities:
Support in proposal development package process;
Draft Bid Justification when the new proposal is underway;
Support in drafting capacity statement for each thematic areas from the approved proposals;
Draft and up-date BASE introductory analysis and capacity statement
Regularly follow and up-load the proposal packages and related document in the NHF and NHS Shared folders;
Regularly follow-up and up-date Business Development Master List Tracker, PaSS Version, Proposal Tracking Tool and any up-coming Business Devleopment Tracker Tool,;
Regularly up-date funding gap analysis table from thematic and base;
Regularly up-date the PDF thematic area capacity statement for donor presentation;
As and when required, cross check BoQs formula before sharing for review;
As and when required, cross check the final proposal package with the final donor agreement;
Any other related duties in relation to Business Devleopment;

V. Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods and to concentrate on work, including typing, and turn out heavy volumes of work accurately, within short time frames under stressful situations in the context of a moderately noisy office with many interruptions. Must be able to proofread own work accurately so that only minor corrections are needed on an infrequent basis.

VI. Working Conditions and Environment
The duties of the job require regular job attendance at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
I. Required Qualifications and Professional Experience
Bachelors degree in social science, development studies, or any related academic field.
Graduates with a strong personal interest to work on emergency and development proposal development initiative.
Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
Must be above 18 years of age.
II. Required Skills & Competencies
Familiar and good understanding with current donor portfolio.
Knowledge and skill of MS Office Suite is mandatory.
Fluency (written and Spoken) in English is required.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple tasks as well as self-direct with minimum supervision.
Genuine interest in and commitment to the opportunity, the mission and principles of Action Against Hunger.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
