Under the supervision of the Child Protection Specialist, the Child Protection Intern provides assistance throughout the programming process for Benishangul Gumuz Child Protection programmes and projects. find more jobs on geezjobs.com They will apply theoretical and technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing, and presenting technical programme information to support the development and formulation of the violence against children and Birth Registration Programme within the region while learning organizational rules, regulations, and procedures.
Support to Benishangul Gumuz Child Protection Programme development and planning and implementation.
Support the implementation of violence against children and birth registration programme information/data management, monitoring and delivery of results.
Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation by Bureau of Women and Social Affairs, Bureau of Justice and Vital Events and Registration Agency, find more jobs on geezjobs.com Plan International Ethiopia, Imagine 1 Day International, and other child protection partners.
Support the gender-based violence, prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse, and case management deliverables of UNICEF Supported partners working on both rolling work plans and Humanitarian programme documents.
Collect, compile analyze, verify, and synthesize Child Protection administrative data from partners for project development.
Support the preparation of technical reports and inputs for programme preparation and documentation.
Aid with the required documentation and materials to facilitate the programme review
Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, quarterly, Bi-annually and annual child Protection sectoral reviews with the government and other counterparts and prepare minutes and reports on results for follow-up action by UNICEF Assosa field office and other stakeholders.
Undertake field visits, and exchange information with partners and stakeholders to assess progress
Participate in the monthly CP/GBV AoR and Protection Cluster meeting with Child Protection Specialist and document minutes.
Apply innovative approaches and promote good practices to support the implementation and delivery of concrete and sustainable programme results.
Demonstrating commitment and willingness to learn for overall personal and professional development is required.
Be enrolled at a university in Ethiopia at the undergraduate or graduate level or be a recent graduate (within the past two years) in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, or any related social science field.
Knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications; excellent knowledge of MS Office is required.
Fluency in English and Amharic (the working language of the region) is required.
