Job Description
The Tender Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the team that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It requires strong people management and commercial skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Identifying opportunities and proposing / Source tenders from newspapers, websites and others sources
Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids and other tender documents in a timely manner
Make sure approved bids to be properly purchased & all relevant tenders are prepared according to the purchasing entity requirement
Understanding and examining the technical requirements and recommending appropriate technical solution of technical proposal
communicate the relevant supplier for technical solution as per the bid document requirement /compliance statement, MAF delivery period & price and other document as per the bid requirement
Manages responses to purchasing entity’s requests, clarification and other pre-bid inquiries.
Organize, compile and complete technical compliance with related attachments /datasheet, brochure or any other technical documents /
Make sure financial proposal document is prepared on time and ensure all active bid documents are ready at hand and all deadlines are met.
Ensure bid readings are accurately obtained & registered
Provide quality assurance checks and reviews by going through proposals and other tender documents before submission
Delegate authority and responsibility within team members with supervision, accountability and review
Prepare Periodic report on the performance of the department.
Engage in performance evaluation of the team as per guideline
Reporting to: General manager
Education
BA or MA Degree in Sales, Marketing Business administration or related field.
General
Five years and above related work experience with a minimum of two years’ experience on a managerial position.
Leadership ability to drive tender process team
Ability to acquire continuous adequate Product knowledge (features, benefits, and weaknesses of product
Negotiation skill to establishing a climate where mutual expectations and benefits with customers can be set.
Charismatic & compelling approach toward customers
Ability to work under pressure
Personal qualities
Organizing skill
Integrity; affinity; have good team management and control ability; good communication and coordination skills; high degree of work initiative.
Language requirements
Excellent written and oral English skills.
