Under the supervision of coordination Logistics and Transport officer and HO Work shop team to ensure that, the coordination office and project locations concern owned vehicles maintenance. The mechanic is responsible to insure the vehicles service A & B is done on time and follow the service date. Whenever necessary the mechanic will conduct field level service maintenance. Regularly check the need for maintenance work and make sure that everything are dealt with in timely manner. Assist HO workshop team in getting necessary information related to vehicles condition and road worthy updates. 

Main duties & Responsibilities:

 Maintain and repair Concern own vehicles in accordance with manufacturer’s regulations

·       Insure the working environment health and safety regulation is well maintained.

·       Provide Service A and B for concern owned vehicles and generators.

·       Provide and share technical skills to the drivers as much as possible

·       Keep the working area clean at all times and be responsible for the safety of the equipment    has and make sure tools are returned to the appropriate place after completion of work.

·       Ensure all job cards, vehicle maintenance order and requisition note are properly completed.

·       Receive all tools & accessories with proper records for the vehicles that are visiting the workshop for service or any repair works and make sure tools and accessories are returned to the vehicle accordingly.

·       Inspect all incoming vehicles prior to any maintenance or and repair, before and after long trip drive and report to immediate supervisor if any problem noticed 

·       Make sure vehicles are cleaned after the road test.

·       Report major problems to line manager.

·       Report immediately to line manager, if there is any damage or missing tools

·       Maintain good working relationships with teams.

·       Perform other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor, like driving and others.

·       Insure the generator has sufficient fuel at all time.

·       Ensure that generators are working condition and serviced on a regular basis.

Keep time records of generators in order to know when the next service for generators

Job Requirements

Person specification:

Essential

• College Diploma or Certificate in auto mechanic with three years of expectance or 10+3 technical graduate or other related field of study with minimum 4 years’ experience

• 3rd grade driving license

• Familiar with Toyota land cruiser vehicle maintenance  

• Computer Literate in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Good communication skill in both Amharic and English language, Local language is an asset

• Initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision and Ability to work and provide support at operational location
