A Procurement Officer works in the procurement department and oversees a vital part of the supply chain. Procurement Officer responsibilities include evaluating suppliers, maintaining relationships, approving products, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials, parts, or goods.

Job Requirements

Education Qualification:

• BA/BSC Degree in Purchasing. Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a similar field;

• A Postgraduate Degree in supply chain management or a professional qualification In supply chain management will be an advantage.

Professional Experience: 

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in procurement At least 3 years of experience in the preparation and implementation of procurement plans; experience in the development of tender dossiers; experience in international procurement process is a distinct advantage;

• Experience in EU procurement procedure is an advantage; experience in the preparation and maintenance of procurement operations and records of EU or donor-funded grants or projects is an advantage; proven experience in vehicle and asset management; proven

• experience in supporting financial processes is an advantage; proven experience in supporting administrative processes is an advantage.
