Company Brief Introduction
The total investment of Shangtex Garment manufacturing Ethiopia PLC exceeds two billion birr, which is one of the largest single investments in Ethiopia.
There are 2 phases of the project which seize 100,000 square meters land in total.
Phase I covers an area of 55,000 square meters, manufacturing area 60,000 square meters, 3 workshop buildings in total with capacity of 10 million pieces per year.
Phase II has 45,000 square meters under planning, focus on Textile and value chain supporting to Phase I.
The domestic parent company from China is Orient International (Holding) CO.LTD which is one of China’s Top 500 Enterprises,ranking 175 and one of the largest importing & exporting companies in China.
The group has more than 20 overseas institutions in America, Europe, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong and other major countries (regions) in the world.
Job Description
Ensuring monthly finalization/closing of the accounts
Ensuring books are maintained accurately and in compliance with IFRS, internal policies and Ethiopian tax laws
Analyzing the monthly results and variances between the Budget and Actual results
Rollout the various financial policies and procedures and ensuring statutory compliances
Ensures that transactions a recoded, analyzed and recorded in peach tree accounts on time
Follow up the preparation for all payments, authorizes payments as per the company policy.
Reconcile bank accounts to Peach tree recording
Reconcile Balance sheet and income statement accounts and maintain the reconciliation files.
Ensuring effective internal financial controls. Supporting the Company’s Finance team
Any other tasks as assigned by the management

Job Requirements
BA degree in accounting or other related fields
2 years and above experience as a finance head or manager
Excellent English communication skills ( You will work with Chinese management team)
In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, tax regulations and industry legislation
