Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of Logistics Manager and we are looking for passionate, capable, and competent candidates who are prepared to work with passion and focus.
The incumbent will be responsible to lead the implementation of the business plan and have oversight of the execution through synchronized and effective warehousing, stock management, customer collaboration, and distribution plans. To implement the logistics transformational projects to deliver the strategic priorities of long-term growth, leveraging scale and building fundamental capabilities.
The Logistics Manager will report directly to the Logistics Director and will lead and manage a team of functional managers, with limited supervision.
This position requires engagement and partnership with stakeholders including functional heads and leadership across and outside the business. As such, this position must be able to effectively engage, negotiate, influence, and communicate to meet the business needs.
Key Outputs and Accountabilities
Implement an effective Logistics Strategy and Business plan based on diagnosis, analysis, insight and expertise in Distribution, Warehouse, Stock Management, Fleet and Cold Drink Equipment principles.
Oversee the execution of Warehouse, Secondary and Primary Distribution, Fleet, CDE and customer collaboration in the plant to ensure productivity.
Provide leadership to accomplish company goals and objectives.
Manage stakeholder relationship.
Plan & Manage budget and allocation of funds according to plan.
Ensure standardization of productivity measures. and operating practices.
Analyze customer service and operational efficiency and design plans to close gaps in conjunction with the logistics excellence function at the center.
First Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Management, Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
A minimum of 10 years logistics experience
Minimum of 6 years line management experience
Experience in logistics and business software systems(ERP)
Knowledge of logistics operations in FMCG organizations
Understanding of key business cost drivers
Additional experience and/or exposure in sales or manufacturing
