Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

• Assist with the administration of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise

• Manage ERP (Odoo and CNET) with Senior System Administrator

• Assist with the creation and implementation of network policies and procedures

• Manage user accounts and permissions in accordance with company policy

• Perform regular backups of critical data and systems

• Keep abreast of new technologies and make recommendations for adoption where appropriate

• Implementing and maintaining network servers and other hardware devices used in networks

• Installing new software or updating existing software on computers and other devices on a network

• Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment such as servers and workstations, along with their specifications

• Coordinating with Information Technology staff members to maintain computer network performance

• Monitoring network activity to ensure proper functioning of network components and equipment

• Monitoring network security to detect unauthorized access or other security breaches

• Assist senior staff with more complex tasks such as network design and capacity planning

• Provide Tier1, 2 and 3 support through phone, remote and onsite as needed

• Escalate issues to senior staff as necessary

• Train and mentor junior staff as needed

• Setting up new computer equipment and software applications, including e-mail accounts, operating systems, and other applications

• Troubleshooting problems with computers, printers, network devices, or other network components to ensure optimal performance

• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 2 years professional experience in IT support, system and network administration, Working knowledge of ERP systems, Working knowledge of AD DC, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking protocols, Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and/or Cisco/Fortinet routers and switches, Basic understanding of firewall configuration and security

Technical skills: 

• Ability to troubleshoot, manage projects and communicate with others, programming, hardware capabilities, network infrastructure, testing protocols and mechanisms, and software development.

Communication skills: 

• Effective communication with clients, other staff, IT team and management
