Job Summary

Plan, coordinate, control and supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials. Ensure the proper storage and recording of materials in the store. Responsible for receiving and recording of new stock as it comes in, and issuing as it leaves the store;  monitor stock levels at the warehouse and proactively report to replenish stock.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan and supervise the store.

  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of materials, and products.

  • Coordinate the duties and assignment of the store staff including the day to day tasks and store management.

  • Optimize storage efficiency, record of stock and ascertain accuracy of physical count.

  • Manage the day to day operation of the stock control and goods receiving and endure 100% accuracy at the point of receipt and throughout the store operation.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures to protect company assets and promote efficient service levels.

  • Liases with sister companies to ensure that stock levels are optimized to meet operational demands.

  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of material meets user department requirements.

  • Make sure that all received GRN and all issues are checked out with approved store requisitions and SIVs.

  • Manage the storage of the right amount of materials, goods and products in the right location to provide necessary supply to all business operations of the company.

  • Control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage.

  • Monitor stock levels in order to highlight minimum and excess levels and report to the manager for any corrective measures.

  • Monitor the presence of Bin Cards for all items in store in which the Bin Cards indicate locations and the quantity balances.

  • Make sure invoices and purchase orders are correct with the stock received.

  • Report for purchase of fast-moving items reaching a reorder level for replenishments.

  • Verify the quantity as well as the quality of purchased items before signing receiving voucher.

  • Supervising store records such as issuing, receiving, purchase order etc. for reference purpose.

  • Take physical inventories of stock; reconciles physical counts against card balance.

  • Supervising and implement a comprehensive location coding system.

  • Identify dead or obsolete items and report necessary actions.

  • Design store layout to an efficient use of available space, reduces handling costs.

  • Ensure maximum protection of stocks against all causes of deterioration and damages.

  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.

  • Prepare report for submission to the Warehouse manager.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Supply Management, or related

  • Experience: at least 6 years of related experience

  • Other Skills: Computer Skills
