Job Description

  • Provide technical lead to Child Protection and CP/GBV interventions within the respective HUb  in conducting protection risk assessment, detail activity planning, and implementation and monitoring.

  • Ensure quality delivery of CPP projects in the respective APs through regular supervisory monitoring, mentoring and coaching of the CPP officers .

  • Provide capacity building training for CPP officers designated to each AP in relevant project models related to child protection and participation  to ensure effective project implementation.

  • Closely work with other TP coordinators and facilitate mainstreaming of protection cross cutting themes (Gender and Disability inclusion, Safeguarding and MHPSS) in each sector. 

  • Actively participate in annual plan and budget preparation process, bi-annual and annual management report and periodic monitoring and assessment 

  • Participate in networking and coordination meeting involving relevant stakeholders in the respective program Hub to advocate for implementation of policies and laws related to child protection.

  • Work closely with HO’s CPP team to provide initial  inputs for concept note and proposal development to mobilize more grant funding  to meet the specific protection needs of vulnerable children and women in the respective Hubs.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum education, training and experience requirements to qualify for the position:

    • University degree in social work, sociology, psychology, education or other relevant fields.

    • At least three years relevant work experience for masters and five threes for first degree in child protection, GBV, MHPSS and related areas,

    • Knowledge and experience on humanitarian response programming is an asset.

    • Knowledge of and ability to implement integrated community-based child protection programing, including MHPSS, CP and Gender Based Violence.

    • Experience in coordination of child protection system strengthening mechanisms.

    • Experience working with children, women and adolescents is an asset.

    • Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in planning and problem solving.

    Language proficiency: Effective in written and verbal communication in English and the local language.
