JOB SUMMARY

Under supervision of the supply chain manager, the incumbent is overall responsible for managing central medical warehouse activities includes overall inventory management, stock analyses reporting, storage and distribution practice. Coordinate with concern internal and external stakeholders to ensure central warehouse inventory management is in fully compliance to EFDA/MOH standards and MSI policy standards.

Roles and responsibilities  

  • Responsible for central warehouse facility management which includes all the pharmaceutical drugs/medicines, medical supplies, family planning products, medical equipment and other medical items in good storage practice and all record well maintained per national standards and MSI policy.

  • Responsible for overall inventory management control of central medical warehouse includes proper storage, stock receiving, timely issuing to regional stores per demand, return etc management and maintaining necessary documentation each transaction (SRV,SIV,GRN) and update inventory software (ICM) system accordingly per policy.

  • Responsible to coordinate with fleet team and arrange logistics, vehicles for timely distribution of the items per distribution list.

  • Ensure all items received at stores are properly checked per quality inspection requirement,  and checks per supply chain management guideline

  • Prepare weekly/monthly stock analyses reports (stock levels, near expiry, non-moving stock etc) per company policy and share the reports with management for necessary action.

  • Ensure timely notification of field stores and field managers on arrival of new stocks and ensure timely distribution within agreed time frame. 

  • Responsible to ensure NO expiry, NO bulk stock holding, NO damage of the stored items  and do close follow ups with concern team members and escalate to supervisor for necessary action.

  • Ensure all stock transaction are authorized by the supervisor and/or concern managers before any distribution, receiving of the items in store. 

  • Ensure periodic stock counts and maintaining warehouse activities per company policy.      

  • Periodic visit to field stores for monitoring of field store activities and provide necessary technical support as necessary.  

  • 1Supervise, coach and build the capacity of the reporting team members.

  • Makes sure all medical and non-medical materials are stored in appropriate places, safe and away from rain, dust, pilferage and deterioration

  • Proper arrangement of all the items in warehouse following standard storage practice, segregation of items to easily locate and count and anytime available for inspection.

  • Undertakes any other duties that may be assigned by supervisor

Qualification Requirements

Education

           Druggist/Diploma in pharmacy

Experience

  • Three years of experience as druggist store-keeper, supply chain management experience, procurement and logistic experience and/or warehouse management experience are preferred
