Team Leader L2 performs functions within BGI Ethiopia company for electrical & partial automation maintenance, specially focused on Addis Ababa plant to ensure adherence to production schedules & to maximize the productivity & efficiency in each area with cost optimization.

 Main duties & responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for all electrical & electronics maintenance activities which includes preventive, predictive, breakdown & corrective maintenance of plant for 24 hours.

• Ensure availability to plant for 24 hours in case of breakdown with quick response time.

• Responsibility for designing and implementing appropriate systems for preventive maintenance, equipment history & asset register.

• Responsibility for maintenance planning and control for all electrical & electronics work.

• Direct responsibility for preventive & breakdown work recording, downtime analysis & based on same up- gradation of criticality analysis & preventive maintenance schedules.

• Direct responsibility for achieving Electricity usage ratio, 5S, Lean manufacturing, PPE compliance, safety scores, maintenance cost, steam usage ratio & other maintenance department KPI’s & Objectives.

• Direct responsibility for maintaining plant all electrical & automation spares.

• Directly responsible for raising, RFQ, PR & other activities related to electrical & automation spares management.

• Responsibility for identification and implementation of projects On Energy Conservation, quality improvement, safety compliances, efficiency & productivity improvements etc.

• Daily plant all area power monitoring, daily, weekly & monthly electricity report

• Generation & improvement of electricity consumption in plant.

• Direct responsibility for the execution of all engineering projects electrical & automation work.

• Direct responsibility for preparation and control of annual plant maintenance budget’s electrical part.

• Responsibility for selection, coaching, feedback, and development of all technicians & self.

• Responsibility for disciplinary in the work force.

• Responsibility for safety of electrical equipment’s, diesel generator sets & team members.

• Responsibility for adherence to local laws for electrical installations, etc.

• Responsibility to implement the safety systems in the plant area.

• Responsible for operation & maintenance of diesel generating sets.

• Responsible for training & development of self & team members

• Responsible to ensure to maintain generator sets, quality & other maintenance record

• Responsible for implementation of QFS in electrical section of maintenance department.

• Ensure timely reporting of daily, weekly, monthly reports

• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures, rules.

• Wear PPE and confirm the use of safety devices among section employees.

• Solve problems and report to the concerned department on accidents, incidents and other issues health and safety in the section.

• Document creation which includes SOP, SPI, Checklists, Program preparation in system as wells as on shop floor

• Implementation of SOP, SPI, Program, Checklists on shop floor.

• Maintain 5S in workplace, cleaning of workplace, equipment’s by self & with support of team members.

• Generation & closure of work order for preventive, corrective & predictive maintenance of plant with issue of spares

• Carry out preventive, breakdown, predictive & corrective maintenance of plant equipment’s.

• Monitoring & control of plant parameters & working for continuous improvement of plant KPI’s & efficiency of operation.

 Job Requirements

• BSc Degree in Electrical engineering with minimum 5 years of experience

• Handson experience to work & resolve the complex electrical & automation systems problems

• Working knowledge of siemens S7 PLC system, HMI, preferable not mandatory

• Handson working experience of working on various make of VFD’s

• Handson working experience of working, calibration & trouble shooting of flow meters, level & pressure transmitters & other field & panel instruments.

• Knowledge of operation & maintenance of diesel generating sets

• Ability to do trouble shooting of electrical & electronic problems & resolve in short time.

• Proven ability to work with team & ability of lead the team

• Have the ability to work under pressure when required

• Team player with good communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, electrical, automation & pneumatic drawings

• Exposure of working with prominent, Grundfos make dosing pumps & dosing stations.
