Job Description
The Microbiologist L1 is responsible for/ performs any of the various analyses in the Microbiological laboratory from raw materials to final product; making-up of cleaning chemicals/reagents/media, handling of laboratory equipment as well as maintaining good housekeeping and record-keeping of microbiological analyses results and chemical consumptions. He / She also provides all the required technical support to enable the effective functioning of the Lab and beer processing in general.
Follow Quality Assurance standards and specifications
Conduct microbiological analysis of raw material, intermediate products, and final products and by-products from brewhouse, fermentation and maturation beer, filtered beer, final products.
Appropriate registration of stock usage of both chemical and materials movement.
Conduct the cleaning and calibration of laboratory instruments and organize results in daily and monthly reports.
Exhibit Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and respect company and lab safety rules.
Appropriate labeling of instruments and samples for analysis and storage.
Executing the tests for research and development of new products.
Executing the activities of the quality management system.
Perform analysis of product recall and market complaint samples.
Checking and following for visual and organoleptic changes in intermediate and finished products.
Timely communication of information through the hierarchies for any quality defect or analytical result deviations from the set standard.
Keep confidentiality of the company’s information and documents and all other tasks necessary for the activity of the service
Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the work area; must adhere to all safety Policies and accident prevention compliance programs.
Wear all required P.P.E. Protective clothing must be worn during production and cleanup/ Wash hands constantly
