Roles:

• Carry out reviewing of standard good completion reports including pumping test analysis, organize and develop proper drilling database

• Prepare performance-based payment and cost recovery charging on time by organizing field reports follow up and keep up to date records of drilling tools and supplies utilization by each drilling and EM-team 

• Prepare detailed specifications of drilling tools and supplies and timely requests for procurement and pursue the purchase process

• Engage in reviewing feasibility study documents and drilling site verification

• Engage in Drilling Operations annual detail implementation plan and annual service and maintenance plan preparation

• Work closely with drilling operations officers, coordinator and manager, and other WVE colleagues to ensure smooth drilling operations    

• Promote major cross-cutting themes including environment, gender, protection, disability, peacebuilding and Christian commitment.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

•  4 years of experience for MSc and 6 years for BSc

•  NGO work experience preferably in water well drilling technology

• BSc in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Earth Science with 6 years relevant experience

• MSc in Hydrogeology/ Geophysics/ GIS & Remote Sensing with 4 years relevant experience

• Demonstrated ability to prepare standard well completion report

•  Basic computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, power-point)

• Advanced knowledge of application software such as Arc-GIS, Global mapper, AquiTest, Strater, IPI2Win, IX1DV3, etc

• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with respect for diversity
