Job Description

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Food and Beverage outlets, assuring that hotels service standards are met and guest expectations exceeded.

Job Responsibilities

  • Constantly strive to increase guest satisfaction through Individuality, quality, creativity, range and value for money available throughout the property.

  • Maintains a high guest service focus. 

  • Always try to go the “extra mile” with every single guest and anticipate his/her needs

  • To keep up-to-date with the results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the Service Delivery standards.

  • To always provide guests with an enjoyable and memorable experience.

  • Cultivates guest relations and rapport.

  • Identifies deficiencies based on the results and drives improvement.

  • Ensures that the team maintains a high level of guest focus and demonstrates dedication to the guests at all times.

  • Monitors and implements procedures to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • To review and evaluate regularly the guest response to the individual restaurants and banquet services and ensure that the offer remains relevant

  • Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal-setting

  • Monitor the performance and activities of food and beverage staff to ensure compliance with set customer service standards

  • Prepare and manage budgets to achieve set objectives and targets

  • Develop and implement standards/policies for the delivery of Exceptional customer service

  • Oversee the recruiting, orienting, and training of food and beverage staff to ensure an effective unit

  • Monitor the performance and activities of food and beverage staff to ensure compliance with set customer service standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Requirements

  • MUST have Hotel experience of over 5+ years as Food and Beverage Manager

  • MUST have Advanced Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management, Management or related field of study.

  • Proven track record of managing and motivating teams is required

  • Well-developed leadership skill

  • Ability to give clear, concise instructions

  • Proactive work style

  • Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm in difficult situations
