Job Description
The International Institute for Primary Health Care in Ethiopia (IPHC-E), which was inaugurated on February 1, 2016 is envisioned to be a world class hub to learn about Ethiopia’s experience using PHC approaches to achieve dramatic improvements in health. The mission of the Institute is to provide need-based capacity-building training on PHC for health leaders from Ethiopia, Africa and the rest of the world. Through PHC implementation research, the Institute provides up-to-date information on the strengths and weaknesses of Ethiopia’s PHC program and contribute to continually build stronger PHC program that ensures fidelity to standards of care and high levels of population coverage of services. Further, IPHC-E provides need-based capacity building training on PHC for trainees from Ethiopia and low-income countries. Through PHC knowledge generation and management, the Institute provides up-to-date information on PHC and contributes to continually build a stronger PHC programs in low- and middle-income countries.
Roles in brief
To provide administrative support for the IPHC-E team, including administration, operational and financial and logistics support to IPHC team at CCRDA side, the place where operation support can get from The Finance and Administrative Assistant will report directly to the IPHC-E Finance and Operations & He/she have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
Assist the efficient and effective operation of the transport & logistics, Finance, HR & Administration functions of the IPHC-E in accordance with CCRDA policies and procedures.
Maintain good communications within IPHC-E & CCRDA support staffs
Maintain files, documents, data and ensure their confidentiality monitor and implement inter financial control and budget expenditure.
Handling of administration and payment related issues from IPHC-E operation support side
Replies to queries on administration financial matters at CCRDA side.
Streamline coordination between CCRDA and IPHC-E staff on administration, logistic & financial matters.
Ensure that all documentation and reporting recording according to budget code & requirements of donors.
Assist the CCRDA finance team on by make sure all program and project costs plan and expenditures are within IPHC-E Financial plan.
Support finance officer for periodically revise annual program budgets and control each program not to go above the allocated yearly budget.
Ensure all advance/float taken for different activities are settled on time or in each month and if any issue to communicate IPHC-E respective finance team.
Liaison and coordinate administrative and logistical work on IPHC behalf.
Undertake and perform administration & related work delegated by the supervisor.
Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Duration: 8 month with possibility of extension
Required no: 1 (one)
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
BA Degree in Accounting/Management/ Finance or any related field of study
At least 5 years of professional related experience, preferably in NGO
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English.
Good interpersonal skills and team player with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Ability to work under pressure
Initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision
Good administrative & Interpersonal skills
Self-motivation, proactive, positive attitude & work with minimum supervision
