The Sourcing Officer provides leadership in ensuring all approved products are purchased under cost-effective contracts. Identifies and coordinates all opportunities for contracting of new and existing equipment, supplies and services. Evaluates products and vendors.

• Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.

• Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.

• Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.

• Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

• Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.

• Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.

• Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.

• Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Logistics & Supply Chains Management, or related field with proven 1-2 years of related experience.

• Excellent communication skill

• Ability to produce excellent results working under intense pressure and late and over the weekends

• Maintain relationships with suppliers

• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software’s.

• Good Negotiation skill with suppliers and get price target

• Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application, specification, installations

• Expert level knowledge in excel.

• Deep Knowledge on Ethiopian Customs regulations and custom clearance process - Excellent Collaboration
