JOB DESCRIPTION

The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for leading, controlling and supervising the Front Desk, Guest Services and Housekeeping departments. As the rooms division manager, you will work closely with Reservations to assure and maximise occupancy rate and revenue and will also be in charge of providing all necessary forecasts and reports. This is a key position since the Rooms Division leadership will directly impact the operational team’s motivation and actions (e.g. front desk agents, bell boys, housekeeper and concierge). 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

*Please note that the following only serves as a list of key responsibilities but is not exhaustive.

  • Ensure high compliance in terms of guest relation, housekeeping and reservation standards

  • Directly responsible for managing manages the general operation of the Front Office, Reception, Reservations, Concierge, Switchboard, Night Management and Housekeeping.

  • Responsible for maintaining sufficient, trained and competent personnel to guarantee the satisfaction of the guests

  • Managing the financial performance of their department by creating budgets, monitoring expenses, and generating reports

  • Supervising guest services staff in order to ensure that all clients receive prompt attention to their needs

  • Strong cooperation with the sales department

  • Organisation of department trainings

  • Watch over divisional performance and create reward strategies to aid results

  • Monitoring the work of service personnel & hotel security,

  • Quality assurance and compliance in terms of special guidelines and hiring new employees.

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients by providing them with information about new products and services, marketing promotions, or special events

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST have Hotel experience of over 10+ years as a rooms division manager or Director of Rooms

  • BSc in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or similar field

  • Proven track record of managing and motivating teams is required 

  • Well-developed leadership skills

  • Ability to give clear, concise instructions

  • Proactive work style

  • Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm in difficult situation
