Contribute to the effective implementation of field level activities in the assigned region to generate fulfilling and dignified jobs to the programme beneficiary unemployed young women and men in compliance with icipe policies and guidelines and requirements of the donor, through regular follow-up and supervision of programme activities in the programme implementation Woredas.

Specific Duties:

Provide overall technical support for ongoing MOYESH Programme activities in the region
Follow-up and offer technical support to market system development and value chain development activities for programme outreach in the region
Promote efficient cooperation in the region with private and public sector partners (private companies, cooperatives, Universities, NGOs), involved in the region for expanding programme outreach
Facilitate entrepreneurship promotion and business development services to SMEs in the region
Facilitate collaboration with private banks and micro-finance institutions in promoting financial inclusion in the region, in particular delivery of saving and loans and digital financial services to programme youth partners
Facilitate the establishment in the region of integrated business hubs in model Woredas of the MOYESH programme
Assures prompt delivery of necessary services while keeping an eye on and offering technical support to contracted input suppliers
Liaise with field-based Research Assistants, compile programme progress data and write brief monthly progress reports and submit to Programme Senior Managers
Update and maintain database at regional level to make sure the programme team has access to accurate information
Support the programme’s regional data collection initiatives, in the region, including baseline and progress tracking survey
Handle any other task and seasonal activities assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

BSc/BA degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Value chain, Agricultural Extension, Economics, Information Technology
Relevant work experience of at least three years for MSc degree, or five years for BSc, degree.
Progressive hands-on experience in the effective implementation of community development programmes/projects.
