Job Description

Procurement Managers, also known as purchasing managers, manage a company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain. They are responsible for strategizing and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to acquire the most cost-effective deals and to reduce procurement expenses.

  • The post holder, will manage CPiE project at Regional level and ensure that project is implemented in target locations as per the agreement entered with government stakeholders and signatory offices. He/she will be providing hands-on guidance, support, mentoring and coaching to Child Protection in Emergency frontline staff including Coordinators, Officers and Social Workers etc to ensure smooth and quality implementation of child protection in emergencies project.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Education at BA Degree level or equivalent study in fields such as Supply Chain & Logistics Management, or Procurement management

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in procurement management which at least 3 years in managerial position with NGO’s in leading programs/ projects or demonstrated equivalent combination.

  • Depth and breadth of knowledge of Plan’s global and national strategies and policies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise.

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships across a network.
