Brief introduction
REACH Ethiopia is a nonprofit local organization established and registered as an Ethiopian Residents Charity. It strives to contribute for community development through implementation of innovative and targeted project interventions to deliver quality health services for disadvantaged communities. Since its establishment in 2013, REACH Ethiopia has successfully implemented community-based TB care interventions and integrated health service projects in Sidama, SNNP and parts of Oromia Regions.
REACH Ethiopia in collaboration with Ministry of Health is currently implementing USAID funded Urban TB LON Activity in 3 largest cities of the country; Addis Ababa, Harar and Dire Dawa. With financial support of Stop TB Partnership, REACH Ethiopia procured Ultra-portable digital X-ray system with Artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the quality of TB screening activity. The system will be used on community TB screening activity to reach missed people with TB in Urban slum area. The radiographer will be responsible for coordination of X-ray screening in collaboration with TB Technical lead and operate the machine at community level.
Purpose of the position(general)
Under the leadership of the Wave-9 Project coordinator and USAD Urban TB LON Activity Manager, the Radiographer will be responsible to all technical areas under USAID Urban TB LON COVID 19 technical assistance Activity. The Radiographer is responsible for performing the following duties for clients during community TB screening activity in different TB key affected sites at USAID Urban TB Local Organization Activity implementation sies.
Answerability and Position in the organization
The Radiographer will report to Technical Lead, and S/he will work closely with relevant technical teams of REACH Ethiopia at the central and the regional level.
Essential Duties
Perform all functions with regard to taking X-rays by using Ultra-portable digital X-ray system with AI, as the activity implementation SOP.
Operate and maintain X-ray machine and support equipment management;
Interpret routine radiographic images with the assistance of AI and provide report
Manage workplace Occupational Health Standard management system; and monitor implementation of work plan and activities.
Conduct radiographic monitoring in the work environment and Ensures compliance to Radiologic safety standards
Apply quality control, maintain and implement radiologic policies and procedures.
Teach others, when requested, the proper aspects of imaging studies (X- ray, including managing the supplies and maintenance of machinery associated with x-ray image interpretation as well as their development and equipment.)
Ensure proper storage of X-ray, images, and maintenance of records.
Adhere to relevant standards of patient care, protocols, and documentations standards for the program.
Support the data collection for activity report and operational study
Requisition for supplies necessary for X-ray and maintain a record of their inventory and use.
Report any malfunction of equipment to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Working in collaboration with other staff involved on community TB screening to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently and effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned to further the goal of the Activity and REACH Ethiopia.

Required Qualification and Knowledge
B.SC in Radiographer from qualified, recognized institution.
Skills, Characteristics Required for The Position:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of radiology. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish priorities and working environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, establish priorities and work independently.
Ability to handle confidential documents in an appropriate manner.
Work Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience
