Our company Rica is an Ethiopian private limited Technology company headquartered in Addis Ababa. That specializes in Internet-related services and products, which include a ride hailing, online shopping, e-payment, online advertising technologies, cloud computing, software development and online marketplace platforms.
Job Summary
Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of the company, overseeing multiple departments or locations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.
Duties Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business of company;
Develop, in collaboration with the CEO and the Financial Officer, an annual operating plan that supports the Corporation’s long term operations strategy;
Assist the CEO and the FO in developing and overseeing the long term business strategies of the company;
Assist the CEO in overseeing the company’s achievement and maintenance of a satisfactory competitive position within its industry;
keep the CEO fully informed in a timely and candid manner of the conduct of the day-today operations of the Corporation towards the achievement of its established goals and of all material deviations from the goals or objectives and policies established by the Board;
with respect to operational matters, ensure communications, resolution of issues and project development;
ensure the development of health and safety practices for the company and oversee compliance with those practices;
be available to brief the CEO on operational matters for review in advance of meetings of the Board;
as requested by the Board, attend meetings of the Board and its Committees and present the information necessary or relevant to the Board or such Committee for discharging its duties;
foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity;
maintain a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels;
coordinate the sustainability strategies of the Corporation;
assess and manage the principal risks of the Corporation's business within operations (proposals, projects and staffing);
ensure that there is an effective succession plan in place for the COO position and other key executives of the company reporting to the COO;
assist the CEO in establishing an appropriate organizational structure;
evaluate the performance of senior executives of the Corporation reporting to the COO; and
Perform other functions related to the office of the COO or as may be requested by the CEO or the Board.
Managing the departmental distribution of resources and equipment to optimize performance in the short, medium and long term.
Having procedures documented to ensure our robustness and for third-party monitoring.
Manage customer support. Plan and support sales and marketing activities
Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.
Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
Building relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are met, they are satisfied with products provided by the company and discuss opportunities further
Manages and meets proposal deadlines by establishing project priorities and due dates for proposal.
Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement

Education:
BA/Bsc in Business Administration, Management ,computer science, computer & electronics engineering, software engineering, telecommunication engineering or related fields.
Experience:
9/6/4 total experience out of which 3/2 years in similar title and role.
