These consultancy engagements are undertaken through interdisciplinary expert teams which require a high level of teamwork and work planning.

Through its Corporate Finance Department, HST offers consultancy services to its clients in such areas as financial due diligence, business and asset valuation, financial and transaction advisory services and market studies and project feasibility studies.

HST Consulting seeks to employ a senior consultant who will work as on corporate finance-related projects involving the preparation of market studies, business plans and commercial feasibility studies.

The successful candidate will be someone who has a proven track record in managing engagements involving multi-disciplinary teams and producing high quality reports.

The Senior Consultant is expected to lead a multidisciplinary team throughout the consulting engagement process which includes:

  • assessment of requests for proposals (RFPs) originating from various sources including the firm’s Client and Professional Services (CPS) unit, 

  • assessing tender requirements and participating in Go/No-Go decisions, 

  • assessing the expert requirements of the engagement,

  • approaching potential experts from within and outside the firm including relevant industry experts, 

  • preparing high-quality and responsive technical proposals, estimating engagement costs and timelines, 

  • developing the engagement implementation plans, 

  • following up on submitted proposals, monitoring project progress and managing client relationships and producing high-quality deliverables. 

  • Other related deliverables as per the instruction of his/her immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Education, Experience and skills required

  • At least an MSc in Economics, Business Administration or related fields

  • Evidence of successful project engagements and delivery 

  • High proficiency in data analysis and high report writing skills in English

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience (experience with a professional services firm is an added advantage) Core Competencies Required 

  • Problem solving and decision-making and a capacity to handle unstructured problems often in an environment of incomplete information 

  • An ability to work independently with minimal supervision 

  • Organizing and planning work and an ability to deliver on projects and tasks 

  • Team management and collaboration with other experts for successful engagement delivery 

  • High levels of proficiency in all dimensions of the communication competency (oral, presentation, writing, active listening, informal communication etc.) 

  • A high level of learning agility with ability and passion to learn and grow
