Role Purpose

Within the context of the Agency’s direction and guidelines, Account Executive will communicate directly with clients and prospects, understand their individual needs, and recommend services that maximize value. Account Executives must also assist in developing strategies and establishing quotas. One should be an adaptable, knowledgeable multi-tasker with strong computer and communication skills.

Account executives are required to help grow the agency by finding leads, closing deals, supporting existing clients, formulating strategies, and communicating our value to clients.

Key Accountability Areas

  • Acquire a complete understanding of a brand or a project by gathering information from the client and other researched data available

  • Developing briefs by gathering information from client

  • Meets with clients frequently, serving as contact between the client and agency;

  • Discusses strategy with clients and helps develop advertising campaigns;

  • Set up brainstorming sessions and alignment between different departments;

  • Presents creative proposals to clients for approval, making sure all components are in line with the brand positioning and brief;

  • Follow-up on day-to-day activities from internal work progress, from clients and suppliers side;

  • Addresses any issues or delays in the project, as well as clients’ feedback;

  • Delivers completed projects to the client on time and manage the timeline communicated to client

  • Acquires new accounts and negotiates contracts alongside the Business Development Manager and individually;

  • Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals alongside the Business Development Manager;

  • Manage the entire project cycle from taking over a client to securing a deal and closing the contract and finalizing cash collection;

  • Unearth new opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships;

  • Work with the account manager to brief media, creative, production, BTL and research staff and assist with the formulation of marketing strategies;

  • Liaise with, and act as the link between, the client and the advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both;

  • Ensure that communication flows effectively and timely;

  • Negotiate with clients and agency staff about the details of campaigns;

  • Present creative work to clients for approval or modification;

  • Handle budgets, manage campaign costs and invoice clients;

  • Write client reports; this includes weekly report and campaign completion report and call reports after every meeting;

  • Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns by conducting random research and small group test;

  • Pre-test campaigns effectiveness with a small sample size group

  • Undertake administrative tasks;

  • Arrange and attend meetings;

  • make pitches, along with other agency staff, with the aim of securing new business for the agency.

  • Remain in regular contact with; your clients to understand and meet their needs

  • Following up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met

  • Compiling and analyzing data to find current trends

  • Staying current on company offerings and industry trends;

  • Look in to competitor activities for the brands being handled by the account executive

  • Maintaining a database of contact information.

  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience;

  • Handling complaints and negotiations;

  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer’s satisfaction and to maintain the company’s reputation;

  • Manage different internal relationships and communications as the central coordination point on projects that require more than one department

  • Manage supplier relationships when necessary

  • Properly file any document any data used during a campaign

  • Perform other duties as assigned
