Tega & Tula Farm, a sister company of Moyee Coffee is looking to recruit a Finance Manager

Tega & Tula Farm has been growing, processing and exporting some of the finest coffee in Ethiopia. Our vision is to produce high quality coffee on an environmentally sustainable, economically viable and community friendly farm.

We are one of the youngest coffee growing plantations in Ethiopia, using the most progressive farming and harvesting techniques to plant, produce and deliver the best coffee to domestic and foreign markets.

Our farm is located in the heart of Kaffa (Kaffa Zone Gembo Woreda), in the center of the natural forest area where Arabica Coffee originated. The company currently manages two coffee plantations, distributed in two adjacent areas with the same agro ecologies  

Job Description

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES

Running the business

  • Management of financial transactions

  • Review and approval of payment runs as per the Company’s policies and procedures

  • Ensure timely processing of payments and completeness of payment requests

  • Review and ensure accuracy of financial transactions captured in the General Ledger (Sales, Inventory, Payments…).

  • Manage timely processing and payments of payroll and ensure payslips are issued on time.

  • Manage fixed asset register and depreciation

  • Review accounts to trial balance and prepare adjustments where required

Reporting

Manage the preparation of internal periodic reports to the Management:

Weekly:

  • Payment status and cheques ready for collection

  • Due invoices for payments and Accounts payable balance report

  • Revenue reconciliation and receivables balance

  • Bank reconciliation and bank position

Monthly

  • Financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation reports

  • Consolidated payroll report

  • Stock count and variance reports

  • Audit file for the year-end financial audit

  • Manage financial and taxation reports and returns as required by local authorities

General

  • Manage the supervision and training of team personnel. Suggest and manage training courses.

  • Manage of the relationship with banks, insurance and ERCA

  • Manage the relationship with suppliers and customers

Budget, KPI’s and Controlling

  • Set separately per annum

Job Requirements

Education

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized institution.

 Experience

  • Minimum 5-year experience in Finance and Accounting with 2 years in a similar position

  • Experience in exporting sector

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
