Job summary: Leads and manages the operation and development of the quality management system: engages all laboratory team members in the delivery and embedding of the culture and practices of that system

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement, maintain, deliver and develop a quality management system compliant with the ISO15189 and other relevant quality systems.

• Update, revise, and maintain the Laboratory’s Quality Policy Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, and other quality documents.

• Perform internal audits of the Laboratory, including both technical and quality systems audits

• Perform and document corrective action, including follow-up monitoring to gauge the effectiveness of the corrective action

• Work proactively to foster and embed a culture of continual quality improvement across the department.

• Undertake the process of validation for the introduction of new laboratory investigations or equipment to ensure accuracy and precision and that it meets the manufacturers stated performance criteria.

• Participate in staff developmental reviews and develop templates for personal development portfolios for all staff

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a Recognized University with five years of experience
