Ethiopian Construction Design and Supervision Works Corporation (ECDSWCo.) is transforming and diversifying from the current consultancy business operations. Taking advantage of the existing ECDSWCo.’s strength and maximizing on the newly emerging external opportunities that are being prevalent with the shifts in Ethiopian Economic Policy – the Corporation is aiming to play a significant role to the success of the Ethiopian Construction Industry -by creating a vibrant business institution that will not only fill the gap that is in the current construction industry, but also replace the need for having international construction companies that are dominating the government mega scale projects.

To this, the Corporation is emerging as an Engineering and Investment Group. The proposed name of the Group is ‘’Ethiopian Engineering and Investment Group (EEIG)’’. The Group will comprise of three main operational business units i.e., Consultancy, Construction and Investment.

 EEIG-Construction business unit key activities are high-end complex construction projects, predominately high-rise commercial and residential buildings, real-estate; infrastructure (roads, railways and airports) & water and energy sector construction. EEIG-Construction alone would grow into a conglomerate of several business units including Piling, underground and foundation Works, Fit-Out, Energy (Solar Solutions), Electro- Mechanical Solution, Facility Management, Landscape and Construction Materials Production.

EEIG Construction is launched with the vision of being the best construction company in Ethiopia with a strategy of Timeously executing high-end complex projects, by utilizing proactive management skills as a Design and Build Contractor in order to achieve an optimum return and aspiring to be a competitive and preferred choice that can replace the current dependence on international contractors and deliver excellence.  Position Overview/Scope of role:

Position holder will manage and lead Business/ Technology/ Data centrally. Ensure that project meet the necessary technology and master data standard for all business applications and ensure SSOT/single source of truth, consistency, Integrity, uniformity, accuracy of data and agility of business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

· Responsible for Master Data entry, maintenance, and quality check in ERP System, ensuring that they are based on defined standard policies

· Develop Master data policy and procedure and leverage best international practice of data maintenance techniques from businesses.

· Responsible for Developmental of IT requirement plan, IT continuity Standard Procedure.

User support:

· Advise ERP and Business application system users on best and utilized use of data and system, taking into account any IT and master data issues that may arise.

· Close liaison with all departments responsible for authorizing ERP and other business applications user access based on segregation of duties matrix and company’s standard procedures for business applications  

. Master Data and all issues that are related to Business application and Master Data including the testing and loading of new types of process and Master Data and archiving of such system and data in secured manner.

Projects:

· Create integrated transition plan (Business/ Technology/ Data) for business application projects with more focus on technical deliverables

· Identify and analyse technology requirements (HW, SW, data, Security, Infrastructure, User access and SoD) for business application system.

· Create project management platform, use share point and other platform to accelerate the project and information communication

· Provide functional expertise and knowledge of the business application and master data practices

· Proper planning and execution of data cleansing, master data migration(all level data’s L1, L2, L3 and L4), user access

· Delivery of Data Governance and SoD standard operational procedures

· Facilitate deployment, via BPO’s,  of Risk & Controls and Segregation of Duties Matrix

· Report generation following a predefined script as well as preparation of custom reports for project needs in close cooperation with Change & Communication Lead, where relevant

· Conduct workshops and presentations to communicate results to the end user community

· Conduct the training process to the end users on IT and master data

· Take active part in change management process

· Aid in the functional requirement design of business application reports, forms and interfaces of business application process and system utilization and improvement.

· Responsible for the production of the end user documentation and training material and End User procedures for master data and business application

·  Perform and lead business application FAT/functional acceptance test and user acceptance test based on business FRD and FDD.

· Assists and provides technical advice to all functions with the identification and definition of business application and master data functional requirements, ensuring that the enhancements meet their specific needs.

· Optimizations: Maintenance and development of business application and master data supporting processes and tools that efficiently handle business application and master data throughout its life cycle. It includes collecting, sorting, maintaining and communicating information to support all functions and execution activities.

Processes & Procedures:

· Maintain full compliance with the business process & procedures and work instructions on master data management and all audit requirements  

· Participate in the development and implementation of IT requirement, IT Continuity, Business continuity plan and Master Data / Data Governance policies & procedures.

· Develop and implement business application and  data standards as needed and ensure data integrity and SSOT/single source of truth

Analysis:

· Performs data analysis and validation before migration to Business application systems.

· Perform periodical analysis on all business application system updates, changes and technologies to ensure system security and IT business continuity and point out areas where he can initiate system upgrade and maintenance with business to enhance the business application and technologies.

· Perform periodical analysis on all system data sets to ensure data consistency and integrity and point out areas where he/she can initiate data clean-up measure with business to enhance the data quality.

· Report on business applications systems and Master Data, regularly and on an ad hoc basis, specify any reports that may be needed to improve technologies, business applications and Master Data processes and monitoring

· Inform Management immediately of any issues regarding business applications and master data.

· Proactively identify opportunities for cost reduction by business application system and technologies utilization, data standardization and challenging production data requests which are inconsistent with content strategies or cause unnecessary costs to be occurred

· Maintain up-to-date level of knowledge in system capabilities by participating different projects or requests and train as necessary to ensure understanding and compliance.

Inform any errors to business applications and data providers and proactively follow up to ensure resolution is achieved

Job Requirements

 Qualification and Education requirement;

• Degree/Masters in Computer Science/ Information System Management/Software Engineering/ Information Technology/ Information Systems 

• 7+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Additional criteria;

• Master data Management and Data Science

• Power BI and share point

• ITIL/Lean and Six Sigma or similar certificates will be an added advantage
