Background of Kerchanshe Equipment

Kerchanshe Trading PLc is a fully independent Ethiopian coffee farming and exporting enterprise. It has decided to broaden its company and has recently signed a Trademark agreement with Caterpillar to officially represent and distribute the Caterpillar Brand in Ethiopia. It is the only Company in Ethiopia having such official distribution rights for Caterpillar Equipment.

The commercial name for this division, which is fully owned by Kechanshe Trading PLC, is Kerchanshe Equipment. Kerchanshe Equipment is in charge of distributing and supporting construction machinery, parts, power systems, and material-handling equipment across the country.

Job Outline

Responsible for overall running of the warehouse.

Job Description

  • Receiving all shipments being delivered to the warehouse with the use of Goods Received Notice.
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are made in accordance with delivery documents.
  • Ensure binning of all items received in their correct locations as per the case binning list
  • Supervise picking of parts as required by counter sales, workshop and for Inter branch transfers.
  • Ensuring all dispatches and releases from the Warehouse are promptly and correctly done.
  • Supervise and ensure warehouse is kept clean, dust and litter free at all times.
  • Maintaining a suitable level security: access points closed unless in use, no unaccompanied personnel.
  • Troubleshooting as and when, where investigation is required into the history of a particular invoice.
  • Co-ordination of Yearly Parts Return to Caterpillar.
  • Using the company system ensuring that locations, quantities and all associated data is accurate.
  • Ensure proper Utilization and operation of the warehouse Forklift truck.
  • Ensure perpetual stock check is carried out for the complete warehouse before annual stock check.
  • Ensure PSDN (Parts Shipment Discrepancy Notices) are accurately and promptly raised.
  • Custodian of warehouse keys.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate report/Territory ManagerContacts
  •  High interaction with Parts counter sales to ensure picking lists and issues /invoices are generated promptly and accurately.

Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE

•           Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar industrial type of warehouse operation

•           Ability to read, writes, speak and understand English.

QUALIFICATIONS
