We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Credit Controller within the Finance Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Manager – Dealer Management (Finance), the role holder will Ensure that the company debt portfolio is maintained at acceptable levels on international debt & ensuring return on capital invested to the company. Providing support to the departmental projects with the stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities 

  • To maximize revenue collection through diligent adherence of processes and tools necessary to deliver forecasted collections in the Debt management across all ledgers.
  • Monitoring, evaluation & approval of retail & corporate credit application through the LPO/LSO/Contracts customers.
  • Spearhead the projects and processes for the Credit & Customer Billing department in ensuring risk mitigation, process efficiency and business partner support and enabler.
  • Management of post pay Staff accounts & Safaricom staff Debtors ledger.
  • Accurate & timely individual, Departmental & project progress reporting on a weekly basis.
  • Management of Departments Processes documentation for all tasks within Credit Control & continually participate on Post pay stakeholders trainings and process reviews.
  • Ensure streamlining of processes to realize faster turnaround times and increased customer satisfaction.
  • To actively participate on the projects that will ensure Customer acquisition, debt management, account management processes are effectively conducted.
  • To ensure expedient management of customer queries requested through Letters, Emails to credit, telephone calls, walk in customers, customer management system Activities and service Requests. 

Job Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Accounting or related Finance bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • 3-4 years experience in a Credit Control administrative and/ or account management role in debt management experience in a well-run company working with multiple business partners
  • Proven experience & good understanding of debt acquisition and management and also Experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans.
  • Experience in Oracle or any other ERP
