II. Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition officer work with the hiring manager to attract, identify, and assess qualified candidates for the open position for TechnoServe Ethiopia. The talent acquisition officer provides professional, high-quality support and service to our internal clients and candidates while managing a diverse portfolio of positions in Ethiopia. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in recruiting combined with a passion to find the best talent to carry out our mission and vison.
III. Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
- Manage full life-cycle recruitments for TechnoServe Ethiopia positions, including publishing job descriptions, sourcing and screening candidates, coordinating and attending interviews, negotiating offers
- Screen, assess and recommend candidates that align with TechnoServe’s commitment and donor requirements.
- Work closely with the hiring manager’s/ business leaders to influence effective recruiting approaches and set realistic expectations on time to fill, compensation, candidate pool quality, and market feedback
- Identifying the organization’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy – including Employer Brand efforts – to improve recruitment and business performance
- Ensure a positive candidate experience, in which interviewed candidates rate the process as clear and professional, regardless of whether they get the job
- Build partnerships with hiring managers and other internal clients to effectively meet talent acquisition needs, while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, processes and compliance.
- Develop a relationship with the different sources of talent like private sector, universities, employment forums, etc to access a great diverse talent.
- Support additional recruiting initiatives in line with team and organizational needs as time permits including trainings, job aids, and tools.
- Develop the talent data bases for future reference.
- Conduct the reference checks when required.
- Prepare employment contracts in consultation with hiring manager and HR & Admin Manager after making sure that all recruitment and selection processes are followed and documented.
- Provide new employees with the preliminary induction and introduce them to TechnoServe’s online on boarding tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related fields with + 3 years’ experience, Master’s degree +1 years’ experience of full life-cycle recruiting experience
- A solid understanding of employment and Ethiopian labor laws
- Experience with a variety of sourcing techniques
- Experience with using an Applicant Tracking System
- Familiarity with social media, C.V. databases, and professional networks
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation method
- Understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred.
- A keen understanding of the requirements for each role in the organization
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
I. Preferred Qualifications:
- A prior experience with the recruiting firm is highly desirable
- Experience working in an international NGO sector, in a dynamic, cross-cultural environment
