POSITION SUMMARY

First Consult is looking to hire a Project and Proposal Developer to develop project proposals. He/she will be expected to closely collaborate with and coordinate team members from across First Consult in the design of projects and development of proposals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

• Participate and lead discussions with FC teams or external stakeholders to gather information, identify key points and brainstorm ideas to input into proposals or reports to be developed
• Draft proposals and reports in accordance to the relevant requirements, mostly in English
• Revise proposals and reports as per comments and feedback from internal and external review
• Edit proposals and reports
• Format and design final drafts to make them submission-ready
• Liaise with the HR, Talent and Development Manager on recruitment for proposals and also the Managing Director on business development priority and strategy setting
• Support with drafting, editing and finalizing other FC documents and communications materials 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: A minimum of a BA degree in social sciences, especially in languages and communication
• Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience
• The candidate must be a focused individual with a strong ability to organize thoughts and render them in professional writing.
• Strong command of English and Amharic
• Strong English writing and editing skills
• Graphic design knowledge is a plus
• Some marketing skills is a plus

REPORTING

The Project and Proposal Developer will report to the Strategic Communications Team Lead.
