Job Description

HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER 

Our client in the malt industry is looking for an HR Business Partner that can provide proactive support in aligning business objectives with employees and management. If you have experience working in HR, specifically focusing on areas such as learning and development, employee relations and performance enablement, this is a great opportunity for you.

Your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Conducting meetings with respective business units.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for different departments and management.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Support the HR Manager with leading and influencing change at a strategic level to overcome cultural and organizational obstacles.
  • Utilize data from staff and skill surveys and other sources to deliver an annual Action Plan, including Resourcing, Learning, Engagement and Reward priorities
  • Support in compiling a comprehensive learning and development plan to support the functions/department (and their people).
  • Promote and revise competency framework and how this is used to record workforce strengths, development areas and succession planning opportunities
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BA or MA Degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, or another related field
  • 6+ years of HR experience with a focus overseeing employee engagement, learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Knowledge in Consulting skills to diagnose people's organizational issues and propose interventions to solve organizational needs.
  • ​​Competent in the use of MS Office and HRM software packages,
  • Good research and analytical skills to interpret Management Information and strong lateral thinking to identify innovative people solutions
  • Able to build and effectively manage employee relationships at all levels of the company
