Position: Litigation and Recovery Division Head

Place of Work: Head Office, Addis Ababa

Terms of Employment: Permanent, after successful completion of probation period

Job Requirement

• Educational Qualification: LLB Degree
• Work Experience & Required Skills: 7 years relevant experience, of which 2 years in Senior Legal Officer or in a similar position

Competencies:

• Good knowledge of the judicial system of Ethiopia
• Considerable knowledge of drafting, reviewing and preparing of legal instruments & pleadings.
• Considerable knowledge of national and international law/Conventions in general, and those related to international trade, modes of transport and the corresponding insurance legal frame works in particular.
• Ability to plan, direct, supervises and control commission advocates.
• Good knowledge of insurance business (principles & practices)
• Good knowledge of company governing statutes
• Good knowledge of the principles and methods of litigation
• Good knowledge of the principles and methods of litigation (civil procedure code)
• Ability to interpret codes of law
• Communication and litigation skill
