We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Senior Officer – Distribution in Supply Chain Management within the Finance Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to Executive Head of Department – Inventory, Planning & Distribution, the role holder will be responsible for Optimizing the company’s sales revenue stream to meet company business objectives by ensuring timely processing and delivery of all Distributor orders, ensuring stock availability at the customer service points, ensuring adherence to stock policies, provide customer support services, and enabling cross-functional understanding with Business Units by generating ad-hock, daily, weekly and monthly distribution reports.

Job Responsibilities

Customer Data Capture and Maintenance

  • Ensure all Distributor Data is fully and accurately captured in the order management systems to facilitate order delivery by courier services

Order Processing

  • Coordinate processing of all Customer Orders toe ensure timely fulfilment as per Service Level Agreement.

Customer Service

  • Accurately capture customer complaints/feedback on a daily basis.
  • Escalate customer queries to internal stakeholders for resolution
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to resolve customer complaints and queries.
  • Follow up on escalated complaints and ensure that they are resolved in time
  • Provide timely feedback (within SLA) to customer regarding complaints and queries.
  • Train new warehouse and supervisory personnel to ensure that orders are issued out correctly.
  • Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Make visits to Distributors to review their experiences periodically and resolve any issues.

Distributor Stock Returns

  • Coordinate approvals of any stock returns
  • Ensure that all stock returns are processed in the system through the approved process

Reporting

  • Prepare daily reports for Customer Order Fulfilment.
  • Consolidate dealer airtime collection reports on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare monthly reports showing the performance of the various stores.
  • Analyze the collection reports on a daily basis to confirm that all orders, placed the previous day are issued out.

Job Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business or similar qualification
  • At least a Graduate Diploma Qualification in Supply Chain Management
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in supply chain management with responsibility for customer order fulfillment, in an environment leveraging ERP and other digital capabilities for inventory and sales-related functions and processes.
