We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Technical Officer - Telecom Implementation within the Technology Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to TI Team Leader, the role holder will be responsible for timely completion of milestones under his/her scope

Job Responsibilities

• Validate site design documents
• Validate site commissioning documents along with site performance and KPI’s
• Supervision of vendors and subcontractors in installation, commissioning and integration of BSS/Microwave/Transmission, and Power Equipment into the Network.
• Ensure good quality on all installed and commissioned telecom equipment that meet design requirements.
• Achieve 100% in planned activities and oversee smooth hand over and acceptance of sites from deployment to maintenance teams.
• Ensure strict adherence to approved SOP by vendors
• Undertake network upgrades and reconfigurations as per assigned work order.
• Responsible for timely completion of assigned project milestones.
• Identify areas of network weakness and suggest measures for improvement or corrective action.
• Perform spot checks on sites to ensure EHS compliance by the vendors and subcontractors.
• Perform any other assigned activity within Telecom deployment domain 

Job Requirements

Qualification 

• University degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Min 3 years of GSM experience
• Experience in Nokia/Huawei telecom equipment is an added advantage.
• Have good knowledge in fault diagnosis and resolution
