About us:

New Zealand Milk Products S.c. invites qualified and competent applicants for below positions for is a direct foreign investment company create a Joint Venture with Faffa Foods and formed a company New Zealand Milk Products Ethiopia S.co. Which is a legally established company under Commercial code of Ethiopia. New Zealand Milk Products Ethiopia have 70% of the share and Faffa Foods have 30% and the Joint venture produce, packed and market our flagship Anchor brand fortified milk powder in Ethiopia. 

Main Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Fully responsible for all concerns of H/S, FSQ, 5S and productivity practice of the site.
  • Coordinating plant compliance to relevant regulations, H/S, FSQ and productivity standards.
  • Assure the H/S & FSQ status of the site through inspection and GMP audit.
  • Implements, maintains and improves the effectiveness of the FSMS.
  • Trains, coaches and assesses team members by implementing a shop floor engagement program.
  • Creates work plans, and coordinates activities between departments and work groups.
  • Conducts departmental and work group audits and provides feedback to the teams.
  • Drive the team by Implementation of SHO, DMS, Visit, Works and more to ensure continuity of problem solving efforts.
  • Fully responsible for leading H/S Committee team and FSQ Committee team.
  • Responsible to achieve KPI’S of H/S, FSQ and productivity.
  • Responsible to adhere to all safe work system instructions. Ensure processes are run in accordance with Fonterra’s SOP based on Fonterra procedure.
  • Understand and represent all regulations, and Fonterra policies, procedures and work instructions apply fairly and consistently
  • Monitors and reports on plant compliance to relevant regulations, food safety, quality system.
  • Approves and manages key food safety and quality outcomes.
  • Escalation of food safety, compliance and quality events which meet or exceed agreed triggers, with accurate and timely information.
  • Use Fonterra’s problem solving tools like GSTD/RCA/ICAM to identify and address root causes of problems on production lines,
  • Create and update standards (CILs) to achieve sustainable performance results.
  • Train, support and coach team members on standards and best practice of Fonterra.
  • Oversee that Operators, area owners, engineering technicians and quality officers are engaged at all times and are performing their duties correctly.
  • Make sure that equipment and areas are properly cleaned and sanitized with 5S Principles.
  • Support team when needed for line relief and/or perform preventive maintenance when short-handed.
  • Support the production team to eliminate top losses across multiple lines.
  • Work flexible hours and schedule which range from 8- 12 hours.
  • Be willing to work on weekends, night shift and holidays if necessary.
  • Help drive and lead projects for line improvements.
  • Support troubleshooting machine faults through FES Methodologies
  • All other duties as assigned.

Reports to (Title): Operations Manager

  • 1st Degree or 2nd Degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Technology or related fields of study from recognized University.
  • 4Years relevant experience in manufacturing, and out of which 3 years as the same position.
