Job Description
Job Summary
Under general supervision of Finance Manager plans and administers accounting systems to provide records of assets, liabilities and financial transactions; advises supervisor on accounting problems; prepares and submits periodic financial statements; brings up discrepancies to the attention of supervisor in accordance with Moyee Coffee Roasting PLC financial policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable;
- Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results;
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status;
- Maintains accounts or supervises subordinates in such accounting activities as cash sales, credit sales, CRV, receivable and collection
- Prepares financial statement, payroll calculation, reconciliation bank statement, vender ledger with payable accounts and stock balance with subsidiary ledger;
- Ensures the recording of description, location, value and other pertinent information of all Moyee Coffee Roasting PLC owned equipment, buildings and other property
- Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses;
- Classify costs accurately and establish standard costs and update them as appropriate;
- Manage junior accountants and bookkeepers;
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process;
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process;
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule;
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns;
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
- Support month-end and year-end close process;
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts in Accounting or Finance
- Experience of 4 to 5 years in similar positions, preferably in the Coffee Industry
- Good knowledge of MS office and accounting software, MS Excel skills ans Peachtree
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Self-motivation, commercial awareness, initiative and the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT and numerical abilities are crucial.
