We are pleased to announce the following positions in MPESA (Mobile Money) Commercial department within the Digital Financial Services Function. We are seeking to recruit mobile money product and pricing specialist in the following areas.

• Consumer products

DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Product Lead, the product specialists will be responsible for driving Mobile money products commercial roadmap & related initiatives from inception through execution. You, will be responsible for identifying potential Mobile money products and services opportunities, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining product specifications and the right pricing point.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ownership of the overall mobile money strategy and drive its implementation to deliver the revenues, market share, competitiveness, and brand targets.
• Develop a clear, coherent product strategy for the specific product area with a strong focus in delivering business value and customer value
• Define and document Product Papers, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), SLAs and Risk Management Frameworks for all Mobile Money solutions.
• Identify customer needs/challenges and market requirements, create product design concepts and drive the implementation of the overall product roadmap.
• Deliver end to end superior customer experience through simple and differentiated user journeys and product features for the market.
• Identify customer’s & channel pain points and practically address them in an effective and customer centric way.
• Work closely with business, technology, customer services and operations teams to identify process gaps and develop automated solutions
• Strategic Customer presentations and competitor screenings; identify customer needs and competitive solutions to drive new business opportunities and create disruptive experiences
• Create and drive Go-To-Market strategies for new products or enhancements.
• Use market feedback to inform Mobile money product refinements and ongoing development
• Design simple, sustainable and competitive mobile money product pricing structure
• Provide information FAQs to guide sales & customer care teams for the use of new products and services. Train sales and distribution teams with product pitches, seller activation etc.
• Create strategic alliances/partnership to grow the Mobile Money propositions

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer science, Engineering or related field.
• In-depth understanding of the mobile money, mobile finance environment, technical and financial
• Significant knowledge of product development and lifecycle management
• Must have 3+ years’ experience having directly launched / managed / operated a mobile money / mobile banking product.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills to lend insight to highly ambiguous and sensitive business problems.
