Ayuda en Acción Ethiopia (AeAE) is a branch of AeA registered as foreign Charity organization in Ethiopia and working in partnership with multiple development actors, government sectors, communities and their organizations to eradicate poverty and inequality. POSITION: National Project COORDINATOR
AeAE is seeking thoughtful, experienced, dedicated and professional Project Co-coordinator to explicitly coordinate and lead the implementation, M&E, documentation and reporting of innovation project to be implemented in Arsi and Wolayita. The project is integrated, coordinated and synergized with the on-going long-term territorial development and AECID Funded Project working in several sectors (Employment and entrepreneurship, livelihoods enhancement, resilience building, market system development and economic empowerment, Education, etc) in three districts of Arsi zone of Oromia and three districts of Wolayita zone of SNNPRs.
Position Description:
The project coordinator will vertically report to Director of Programs of AeAE country office. He/she provides the overall strategic and operational supports, technical and administration supports and being ultimately responsible for delivery of results and responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation, documentation and reporting of the innovation project. Specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinate, lead the implementation, M&E, Documentation and reporting of the innovation project activities as per its plan,
- Shoulder and Deliver Dual reporting and functional relationships.
- Enhance the project partnerships/relationships in the project areas, Public and Private Stakeholders, development partners, networks, alliances, research and academic institutions in the project area and at national levels,
- Assure the implementation, M&E, documentation and reporting of the 15 months (February 2022 to July 2023) plans and annual operation plans of the innovation project including the required modifications and amendments,
- Provide Capacity building support to project staffs and communities to ensure the proper management and sustainability of the project,
- Manage the Project resources (human, financial and material) in coordination with the Field Office mangers of Arsi and Wolayita,
- Properly document and share project processes, achievements, learning and impacts including the visibility of the Donor,
- Support the Director of Programs, project staffs in the Development of new project proposals to apply to further strengthen the project results/outcomes.
- Understand and assure the implementation of any system security and safety procedures and requirements to human resources management, protect the completeness, accuracy and integrity of accounting data and information based on AeA policies, procedures, and the law of the land.
- Documenting and producing quality and standard reporting as per the AeA policies/procedures, AECID regulations, provide data/feedback to the Ayuda en Accion knowledge-base and the law of the land.

- Availability to do frequent travel and visit to the project areas.

- Estimated Start Date: Immediate incorporation,
- Contract type: 15 months contract with probation period indicated in the law of Ethiopia.
- Duty station: Addis Ababa, with traveling to Arsi and Wolaita project area.
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
- Master's degree particularly in Crop/plant science, Horticulture, Agronomy, Crop irrigation, Fishery, Aquatic resources management, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, development studies, agricultural economics, Agri business, Market System Development, project management, Livelihoods and resilience building and or other related disciplines.
- A minimum of 6 years work experience in innovative project focus on horticulture production, Irrigations, green house management, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, fishery and marketing, long and short-term donor funded projects/programs development and management, livelihoods and resilience building,
- Strong knowledge of development works, capacity building of development partners, civil societies, humanitarian, private sector and landscape in Ethiopia.
- Proven experience in Innovative project development, planning, project design, with demonstrated experience in implementation, capacity building, M&E, documentation and communications,
- Ability to structure and manage complex tasks; including experience in work planning, coordination and activity budgeting,
- Demonstrated coordination, technical support in donor-funded development projects/programs, work independently and take initiative while also having strong team building skills.
- Demonstrated skills in preparing high quality documentation and report donor and government agencies.
- Ability to document project results, develop analytical and well written, cohesive reports with good communication skills with proper written and spoken English, computer skills that are responsive to the donor's needs.
- Ability to work and support the program team in Fund raising and management, partnership development and management, networking and alliance building, human, financial and material resources management, Innovations and M&E.
