Position: Project Officer

Roles and responsibilities of Health project Officer

• Will communicate with stakeholders
• Oversee the project and project staff particularly MHNT
• Will oversee the proper data collection by field staffs
• Will oversee proper delivery of project outputs as per the proposed plan
• Facilitate the timely processing of finance/ HR requirements of the project
• Develop detailed work plan and implement the project activities as specified in the work plan
• Responsible for the successful implementation of the health project deliverables in the assigned Woreda/zone
• Collaborate with relevant partners at the state, local government and community levels to ensure integration and high level implementation of all Health activities on the signature project.
• Provide technical support and timely feedback to State and LGA teams on health activities
• Develop activity plans and budgets for technical support activities related to health project.
• Report regularly on Health activity implementation and maintain accurate records of all relevant Health performance indicators
• Health project Officer will be totally responsible to oversee the successful and quality implementation of heath service delivery and activity in the assigned zone/region within the time frame
• Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project budgets and expenditures
• Organizing, attending and participating meetings as needed
• Making quarter reports for donor’s and stakeholders
• Following each activities in site level and documenting the reports
• Submit weekly plan and report to the project coordinator
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
• Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
• Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
• Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members
• Providing administrative support as needed
• Assist with any other duties as required by the program director/ manager and HO Health team

Job Requirement

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Public health, Nursing or related health field of study with 3 years of experience in related field
• Experienced in nutrition and health program implementation-data collection and compilation, working with counterpart for lasting intervention, training of health workers, etc.
• Team management
• Have experience with project budget
• Excellent Problem-solving skill
• Has experience of MHNT leadership
• Time management
