Senior Manager, Product Development

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Product Development plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises and controls activities related with the Bank’s product development as per the approved policies, procedures and guidelines. The Manager oversees the identification, development, and launching of new products and services for the Bank and ensures that all new services and products are technically and commercially viable and for the benefit and growth of the Bank. The Manager drives the development process from idea to implantation to ensure products meet the customer’s needs.

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management and/or related fields.
  • Master’s in Business Administration, Management and/or related fields is an added advantage.
  • Relevant professional qualification(s) e.g. PMP or equivalent is an added advantage

Experience

  • Minimum of nine (9) years’ relevant experience

Required Technical Competency

  • Experience working cross-functionally to develop new ideas and products.
  • High-level understanding of applications used in the organization’s industry.
  • Experience and knowledge of how to adapt project management processes to organization’s product life cycle.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bank’s clients and their needs
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of industry trends and their implications for the Bank as well as events in fast-paced markets
  • Good knowledge of banking regulations
  • Ability to perform a knowledge-based SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis, comparing the bank’s knowledge to that of its competitors and to the knowledge required to execute the Bank’s own strategy
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of digital advancements
  • Project management skills
