Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with pertinent managers, provide leadership and ensure efficient & effective management of legal and advisory services;
- Coordinates the provision of legal advisory services;
- Monitors the management of defense and intervention cases as well as recovery cases;
- Supervises the observance of service delivery standards in the provision of legal services;
- Provides guidance for the efficient and cost effective resolution of defense and intervention cases as well as recovery cases;
- Monitors the change in the laws and practices that impact the insurance business and advise same to the Company;
- Verifies pleadings and petitions to be submitted to court;
- Supports Company units on drafting agreements, policies and procedures;
- Represents the Company on negotiations and submit settlement proposals to the Company;
- Reviews progress of outstanding litigations and submit regular report to the Management;
- Designs legal compliance checklist and monitors its implementation;
- Coordinates tailored interventions on coaching, mentoring and trainings for the staff members in the unit.
Job Requirement
- Educational Qualification: LL. M or LL. B Degree in law
- Experience Requirement: Nine years experience for LL.M or Thirteen years experience for LL.B
- Additional Requirement: Fluency in English, Amharic and Afan Oromo.
- Age: Below 45 years
