Research & Innovation Manager job Description

The Research & Innovation Manager is responsible for managing R&D activities of the company; coordinating product development projects; designing, researching, developing, analyzing and suggesting new marketing concepts as well as strategies; conducting market intelligence; managing new ideas and technologies in sales and marketing areas. The incumbent is also responsible for motivating and coaching coworkers to exercise innovative culture and works in close collaboration with the corporate marketing manager to make sure all the necessary marketing research and innovation initiatives are planned, executed and evaluated according to the company’s standards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertake researches and surveys on the macro and micro environment of the sector.
• continuously survey on the market situation (the market dynamics) regarding product, price, place (distribution), promotion and customer service (terms of purchase, product handling…) of ours vs. competitors and develop a winning strategy proposal.
• Evaluate periodically the dynamics is customers preferences, analyze the fitness of our products to win in the market and suggest innovative ideas to improve their effectiveness.
• Develop a new brand/SKU proposal with all pricing, placement, and promotion elements based on research with clear contribution for the volume, revenue and profitability and follow up the execution. 
• Measures the impact of brand building and sales promotion activities with a recommendation on the way forward.

Job Requirements

• BA Degree in Marketing, Marketing Administration, Management or related field of study from recognized University.

Relevant Minimum work Experience

• 7 Years relevant experience in manufacturing, and out of which 3 years as the same position.
