We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for a Specialist - Retail Inventory Control in the Sales and Distribution Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Manager, Retail Support, the position holder shall provide proactive inventory control through providing of accurate information to efficiently manage Retail Stocks, manage processes, & co-ordinate internal stock management activities within the channel.

Job Responsibilities

• Support optimal stock holding within the channels through robust demand chain management strategies.
• Work with Terminals Planning manager to provide an accurate stock position for Retail Channel.
• Provide assurance that all systems reconcile 100% verses physical holding, resolve any variances causing discrepancies.
• Coordinate reconciliations and implementation of action points resulting from monthly stock takes for all shops.
• Track and Provide Ageing reports; per shop & ensure they are within agreed ageing brackets.
• Track % usage on swap stock provided by supplier and ensure accurate billing when exhausted.
• Nil obsolescence on inactive stocks- demo, display, loan and test sub inventories.
• Warehouse outbound logistics-Track these deliveries and their movement from warehouse to retail centers to sales (cradle to grave), and track key inventory metrics around the same.
• Ensure no system inventory loss.

Operational management

• Following up to ensure there are nil in-transits in ALL the retail warehouses and ensuring all shop returns to Main Warehouse are committed. Both in ERP & POS
• New terminals performance measurement and trending.
• Track and monitor all inactive stock held across all retail shops; periodically review and update the same.
• Support on key projects relating to inventory control at Retail level

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university
• At least 2 years’ experience in store management
• Conversant with Safaricom products and services
• Ability to cope with pressure while delivering quality service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (articulate) coupled with good listening and critical reasoning skills
• Proactive, confident, energetic
• Good Analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal & decision-making skills
• Ability to prioritize work
