We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for a Specialist -Retail Operations & Propositions in the Retail Experience Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Manager-Retail Operations Support, the position holder’s role shall be to grow Retail business by initiating sales activities that will realize new business opportunities. Responsible for Retail channel merchandizing standards, marketing and brand visibility. In charge of Retail marketing activities aimed at Revenue Generation. To support channel operations through planned activations, campaigns, and promotions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Initiate and execute sales activities aimed at revenue generation
  • Plan and execute promotions and activations according to planned calendar. Initiate activities that will grow the business
  • Support the internal communication policy so that all staff have an up-to-date knowledge about all sales activities.
  • Assist in the determination of customer information gaps and how they will be filled.
  • Develop and outline standards for Retail Merchandizing and execute across the channel
  • Work on campaigns with the Retail sales manager and actively help to implement market research programmes with the relevant products and services and provide support to the sales function.
  • Delivery of the sales and marketing strategy by working on marketing initiatives and PR opportunities to support the retail brand and range of products and services.
  • Working with third party companies and users for promotion and brand services initiatives.
  • Plan, execute and evaluate sales related projects

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business discipline or Social Sciences.
  • Excellent knowledge of Safaricom products and services
  • 3 years’ experience in Sales particularly FMCG
  • Proactive, confident, energetic and able to work under pressure with a positive attitude and use good organization skills
  • Mentoring/coaching skills/experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
