The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) wants to recruit employees in the following vacant positions the details of which are mentioned bellow.
About the Ethiopian Red Cross Society
- The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) was established in 1935 and is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS provides services to communities affected by natural and manmade disasters through the provision of emergency responses, ambulance and first aid, family reunification, essential drugs, water and sanitation, and other humanitarian services. ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. Currently the ERCS has a structure consisting of 12 Regional Offices, 34 Zonal Branches and 131 District/Woreda Branches, 599 Woreda Red Cross Committee and 5871 Kebele Red Cross committees.
- ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs relating to food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building interventions, with the aim of creating resilience households and communities. ERCS works in partnership with the Ethiopian Government, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partnering National Societies, members, volunteers and the communities we serve.
Key performance area
- In consultation with the MPC, design strategy, detailed works plan and support the timely execution of the PSS component of the project.
- Participate in the technical design of assessments for PSS for the migration project with a focus on supporting migrants and their communities I reintegration and return processes.
- In collaboration with the M & E officer and other team member’s actively participate in the plan based periodic joint monitoring the activities of the project.
- Adapt and avial referral linkage template and reporting materials on psychosocial support from the RC Movement to relevant regional contexts.
- Supports field staff ( officers and project coordinators ) in their engagement of PSS, Social inclusion and cohesion service for the target beneficiaries.
- Device systems and strategies that can foster networking among local actors and the community working on PSS service.
- Ensure participation from beneficiaries in project needs assessment and review meetings.
- Coordinate the PSS aspects of the migration project with other ERC,HQ departments (DPR, Health, HD, Volunteer development ect).
- Adapt training material from RC movement, develop and conduct PSS technical trainings of staff and volunteers on the project within focus on minimum standard, efficiency and quality.
- Documentation best case practices, case studies and other relevant data of the PSS service and share information on field-level successes and challenges with coordinator of Migration and others.
- Establishing and maintaining a weekly and monthly work plan and write weekly and monthly reports.
- Reporting to: Migrant project coordinator, MRFL unit
Terms of employment: contract one year

Job Requirements
Qualification and Professional Experience
- Second or First degree in psychology, counseling sociology or social work.
- 6/8 years related work experience
- Experience with working for Red Cross and international organization experiences.
