Job Description

Abeba Giday Business Group (Abeba Giday Trading House, Abeba Transport, Addis Spare Parts, and Bazen Agricultural and Industrial PLC…) are looking for the following vacancies. 

Main Purpose of the job

To direct and control all central administrative services to ensure that the company continues to function effectively and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the HR department in directing and controlling company employees to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
  • Supervise the provision of clerical, typing, reception, and secretarial support services for the HR department
  • Supervise the implementation of all necessary administrative policies and procedures to ensure that the company continues to operate efficiently and effectively
  • Play a leading role in controlling all central services to ensure that they provide managers and staff with the level of support they require.
  • Monitor the performance of all central services to ensure that they operate to a high standard and to identify any areas of potential improvement.
  • Facilitate the preparation and distribution of agendas, reports, and minutes
  • Develop and control the annual budget for all central support services
  • Provide a full company secretarial service to the company, ensuring that all statutory requirements are met
  • Play a leading role in facilitating any capacity building programs particularly related to the implementation of any necessary information technology systems to ensure that administrative processes operate as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Monitor all necessary procedures to ensure that all the company’s offices and equipment are maintained to a high standard and provide a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Monitor and control the implementation of all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that correct procedure is followed by managers and staff in appointing and termination of employees, consultants, contractors, or other suppliers.
  • Monitor contracts as necessary for the effective maintenance of buildings and equipment
  • Ensure proper implementation of a central record-keeping and information service and ensure that all necessary safeguards are in place to maintain data security
  • Advise managers and staff of the administrative support implications of operational changes
  • Ensure that the security of the offices and compound are is up to the required level
  • Supervise mail picks and delivery are made on time
  • Manage the transport needs and economic use of all the vehicles under established rules and regulations of the company
  • Issues gate pass for all major equipment to be moved out the company…

Job Requirements

Knowledge, skills, and experience required

  • BA Logistic & Supply Chain Management, BSC degree in Business Management and certified in retail warehouse management and related fields
  • At least +2 years experience as a Central service supervisor or Microsoft office processor
  • Good computer skills are a privilege
  • Good leading skills and business orientation operator or secretary
  • Excellent in Microsoft office tools
  • Good analytical, conceptualization, and writing skills
  • Excellent in document handling and management
  • wide experience of office work
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
